Highest Precision Lenses for Your

Best Vision

As professional, independent optometric practices, Concept is free to prescribe the very best lenses for your needs. Remarkably, one lens manufacturer, Rodenstock, stands head and shoulders above the rest with their unique DNEye scanning technology. This permits the measurement of the natural distortions that occur in sight called aberrations.

The result: the most precise lenses in the world, with the sharpest vision for every angle and every gaze.

Biometric Lenses

The Rodenstock biometric lenses incorporate cutting-edge technology to provide precise vision correction tailored to individual eye characteristics. These advanced lenses are designed to optimise visual acuity, ensuring exceptional clarity and comfort for the wearer.

  • Our vision consists of two subsystems that simultaneously work together with the brain: focus vision and peripheral vision.

We use our peripheral vision to orientate ourselves and detect motion in our environment, while our focus vision moves to whatever point of interest the brain picks up on, no matter if it is near or far away. Based on this input, your brain then decides how to act on the information received.

By crafting the lenses with biometric data, we ensure that both the focus and peripheral vision subsystems are supported by seamless transitions in the lenses.

  • Eye movement is continuous. In fact, the human eye moves up to 250,000 times a day. This means our vision is constantly in a dynamic state, focusing at near, mid and far distances while we use our peripheral vision to orientate ourselves as the eye moves.

This is why it’s so important that progressive lenses support vision at every angle – and not just at one focus point in the middle. But, in order for them to do that, you need precise data on the individual eye – because every eye is different.

Biometrically exact lenses based on DNEye® technology provide an unrestricted, dynamic and natural visual experience, in harmony with the brain.

  • At Rodenstock, we recognize that each eye has a different shape and size.

Based on an eye measurement with our DNEye® Scanner, the biometry of the entire eye is determined for the calculation of the lens (several thousand data points and a multitude of parameters of each eye). This biometric data is incorporated directly into the lens production process, which is unique in the industry. The result: the most precise lenses in the world, with the sharpest vision for every angle and every gaze.

We call these lenses B.I.G. EXACT™.

B.I.G. stands for Biometric Intelligent Glasses: these lenses marked the beginning of the biometric era at Rodenstock and B.I.G. VISION™ FOR ALL has become our philosophy.

Progressive Lenses

Progressive multifocal biometric lenses are a type of advanced eyewear designed to cater to the varying vision needs of individuals, offering seamless transition between near, intermediate, and distance vision. These innovative lenses combine multiple prescriptions into a single lens, providing wearers with clear, uninterrupted vision across different distances without the need to switch between multiple pairs of glasses.

  • Large, individually optimised wide field of vision – Do you lead an active lifestyle and spend a lot of time outdoors? Or are you often working on a laptop and like to read? The field of vision of your Rodenstock progressive lenses is specially adapted to your personal lifestyle and your viewing habits!

Peripheral zones - Depending on the quality of the lens, the size of the peripheral zones looks different. The higher the quality, the smaller the peripheral zones.

  • As the name suggests, a progressive lens provides progressive power, and infinitely variable sharp vision at all distances. Because progressive lenses are able to correct defective vision for far and near at the same time. As there is no visible edge in the lens and the power changes are not recognisable from the outside, progressive lenses also have aesthetic benefits.

  • Our eyes change as we get older. This means that when we become middle-aged the eye lens is no longer quite as elastic. It becomes increasingly difficult for the eyes to switch between near and distance vision – the eyes need some assistance. Progressive lenses are the ideal solution here. Because with progressive lenses you don't have the annoying and inconvenient task of changing spectacles.

Office 'Ergo' Lenses

Do you work a lot on the computer and sometimes find it difficult to read on screen or do you get headaches or neck pain in the evening? A good pair of computer spectacles can have a big impact. They give you sharp vision at typical work distances and facilitate eye movements during your work. This not only makes it easier on your eyes: You are also spared tension, intense eye strain and unnatural body postures, meaning you can work in a more relaxed manner.

Distance Lenses

The well-known product among spectacles: distance spectacles, also called single vision lenses. They correct your defective vision and give you pin-sharp vision again. For you this means: better overall view and quality of life and increased safety, e.g. in traffic.

  • Do you often squint your eyes to be able to see sharper in the distance? Do you get headaches when reading or working at the computer for a long time? This indicates impaired sight.

  • We rely in particular on good visibility when driving in the rain, in the dark or under backlight conditions. Therefore, even a slight vision problem can be annoying and cause disruptions and not least be dangerous.

  • Many people assume they are night-blind. In reality your visual impairment only appears different at night than during the day giving this impression

The DNEye Scanner can determine your prescription in day and night, correcting any differences.

Reading Lenses

Reading is simply part of life – but it becomes exhausting and challenging when letters and numbers become blurred in the near field of vision. Individuals who want to retain the pleasure in reading and to read novels, newspapers, menus or fine print with familiar ease find the optimal solution in a high-quality pair of reading spectacles.
A good pair of reading spectacles serves exactly one purpose: They restore sharp vision at short distances. The more precise the lenses are adapted to you, the better the result.

  • Reading is difficult, always holding the book further away – are you also familiar with this situation? The reason for this is presbyopia, which is a completely natural process: Our eyes change as we get older and it becomes increasingly difficult to "switch" between near and distance vision. The minimum distance for a sharp image becomes greater and eventually exceeds the normal reading distance of 40 cm. Then the eyes become tired quickly or one gets headaches when reading. It doesn't have to be this way – with the right pair of spectacles, reading can feel completely natural again.

  • Aspheric prescription lenses are characterised by a flatter, less curved and thus slimmer shape. This is particularly useful for individuals with plus prescriptions. Benefits:

    45% lighter than mineral glass

20% thinner than traditional plastic lens

30% reduced self-magnification of eye area

  • There are cheap reading spectacles in many supermarkets. But the "good offer" has a catch: Off-the-peg solutions are of course not suitable for your eyes. The prescription of both lenses are identical, although most people have different prescriptions for the left and right eye. Individual circumstances, such as a corneal curvature or the interpupillary distance, are not taken into consideration. Buyers also often choose lenses with too strong a prescription without a test and advice. The result: Inappropriate ready-to-wear reading spectacles can lead to complaints such as headaches and tired eyes if used permanently – exactly the opposite to what they should do.
